August 1st-6th, 2012. Cycle Messenger World Championships. Chicago, Illinois. 

I brought four different cameras, several lenses, backs, and a few dozen rolls of film, but only two pairs of boxers and one pair of socks. Now that the itching has stopped, we can get to seeing what I was doing while not racing, again. I shot about 14 different rolls, came up with over 100 good frames, and selected 25 of them from every part of the week that I had a camera on me. I’ll post the rest a little after this stews for a bit to keep those memories alive. It was a good week!

It’s been thought. Then talked about. Then realized, why not? If you don’t want to be here, vote for the other guys, and ignore our tears.

Portland has ten years of West Side Invite success as well as the 2005 NACCC to stand on. 

Alpenrose Velodrome, best Summer weather, best outdoor activities a stone’s throw away, awesome riding, people who know how to run a large event, cheap beer, great coffee and food carts rapidly approaching one per capita, sponsors love Bike City USA, and $1 beers are a common thing. That won’t piss anyone off(well, maybe eventually). 

So brush up on your episodes of Portlandia. Hopefully we can give them some new material. I’ll and see you all in Lausanne for CMWC 2013.
